About Pony Club

Pony Club is one of the leading junior equestrian organizations in the world, represented throughout 30 countries! The United States has over 600 individual Clubs spread throughout 48 states and the Virgin Islands, with more than 12,000 members.

While many Pony Club members have gone on to national, international, and Olympic competitions, most of our members join because of their love of horses, desire to become a better rider, and a drive to achieve their best as an individual. Whatever your child’s goals, Pony Club provides a nationally recognized instructional program with an emphasis on safety and building character.

A child may join at any age but is considered a graduate at the age of 21.

At Fallbrook Pony Club, our goals are:

  • Provide a comprehensive, nationally-certified program that includes English riding instruction and a structured horse management curriculum with a strong emphasis on team work, sportsmanship, and safety of the horse and rider.
  • Use equestrian sports as the framework in which to develop character, confidence, and life-long interpersonal communication skills that will benefit our members in all aspects of their lives.
  • Teach our members the horse/stable management skills necessary for them to take full responsibility for their equine partner at home and at Pony Club events.
  • Safety, safety, safety.

Programs are offered in dressage, eventing, show jumping, mounted games, tetrathlon, quiz, vaulting, foxhunting, and polocrosse. Parental involvement is very important (and loads of fun too), as this is a nonprofit, volunteer-run organization.
